One For The Books, by Joe Queenan

One For The Books - Joe Queenan

☆☆☆

“The average American reads four books a year, and the average American finds this more that sufficient.”
These are the first words of the book “One for the books”, by Joe Queenan.
The thought of anyone thinking that reading just four books a year is sufficient horrifies any Reader-with-capital-R.
Joe Queenan is such a Reader: he reads always, there are books in every single room of his house, starts reading any book that seems promising and has read many which did not (and were not).
He speaks to any other Reader, sure to be fully understood in his passion and compulsion towards books.
Funny, witty and only sometimes a bit ostentatious.

Thanks to Penguin Book (USA) and Netgalley for providing a copy of the book.
